Hey guys, just a quick response regarding the discussion of the Spotify acquisitions.
I find in interesting that a key board member of Spotify Ltd is Ted Sarandos, who is the chief content officer of Netflix. I think that Spotify has a very calculated plan regarding the infrastructure provided with Gimlet and Anchor. I do not think it has anything to do with the existing content at all.
I imagine Spotify believes they will face the same licensing issues that Netflix has faced in recent years as every major studio seems to want their own streaming platforms. I think Spotify is hedging their bets and setting up an infrastructure that allows for creation of their own content (music and podcasting).
